Happy girl in a Haltermelon

The Haltermelon is almost finished!  At least, it's progressed since this post.  I haven't added the little black seeds on the pink area, but I have to admit that I like it without.  I went a little crazy on the i-cord straps and ended up having to tie the back rather than use the button.  They're just too long.   I now know what the "i" in i-cord means.  I can't believe I was intimidated by knitting i-cords! Tessie seems happy about her new summer outfit, but it's probably the cookie in her hand.  Well, it still needs some blocking, but it's essentially done!  Now, if we could just have a little more warm weather!

I love it Carmen! And she looks so pretty! What a great summer top. I'm so embarrassed to say I couldn't figure out the I-cord. I had to have my sister demonstrate via Skype.

The top turned out so cute, Carmen! I have not knitted I-cords but I'll have to for the twirly skirt ... Hopefully, they'll be easy?!

That is so cute! I am a new knitter, but it has quickly become one of my favorite hobbies.
